We would highly suggest if you are going to any National Park
that you download the National Park App!
They have audio tours, calendar of events,
road closures, maps, amenities
and so much information!

The museum was closed when we were there but
you can go to the link above and see some of the
artifacts that were recovered and the history.
Interesting.
You can see the support system which allows
people to walk on board and see
some of the original wood structure.
It was heartbreaking to see how many
unknown soldiers are buried here.
Here are two of the 1,400 monuments, tablets
and markers located around the park.
We learned so much history
and why Vicksburg was important!
