Wow, you are still reading our blog!
Text us and let us know because we would love to hear from you.
We are off on a New England Trip!
While traveling through Texas we had to pick up some
of our favorite BBQ, glazed pecans
and visit some cousins, which is always fun!
New Orleans, Louisiana
Since we have been living in Arizona for five years and
are use to sunshine almost everyday,
it is important to be weather aware.
We stayed in Baton Rouge for a few days waiting for the
storms to pass through New Orleans, but it was still
raining off and on our first day there.
So many people and cars for a Sunday!
Lots of homeless people and still so
much destruction from Hurricane Ida.
Blue tarps everywhere. Not you typical let's have fun
blog post but this is what we experienced.
Not staying for the nightlife because it was
crazy enough during the day. We would rather
be around wildlife than wild people.
South of New Orleans is the town of Jean Lafitte,
this is where we took a two hour swamp boat tour.
their boats through here until islands of dirt and grass came in
with the hurricane. They had to use tug boats to clear some
of the channels to continue their tours.
Amazing things we never knew or heard about.
Amazing things we never knew or heard about.
Spanish Moss
The gators came running because they feed them
marshmallows! Nothing special about
marshmallows except they float, are cheap,
and easy to throw or put on a pole.
As you know gators will eat anything!
Keep your hands, legs, and elbows inside the boat!
Inside where we purchased our tickets
is a rare albino alligator.
It wouldn't survive in the wild or outside.
We are always amazed at what we see on our travels!
Stay tuned for more adventures.
